Guys, am I correct in assuming these two deals should be thought of as one trade but were just separated for waiver trading rule-following purposes, making the trade Profar + a 1st round pick for Hanson + Peterson?

I'm not sure this trade is valid add it does not include a major league player. I believe that waiver trading is intended for mlb guys only. I well wait to vote on this one until Tony clears this up

thats fine to wait, but just a heads up, there is absolutely no mention whatsoever in the waiver rules of even a separation of prospects or majors. Even if that is what it was intended for, thats not what it says... As in the real MLB we have a waiver trading process after the trade deadline has passed. Here is how it works. Any team can waiver up to 2 players. When a player is waived you have 48 hours to trade him or he is sent back to your team. While on waivers he is the only player aloud to be on your end of a trade. (EXAMPLE:) You waive Matt Kemp A deal must look like this Matt Kemp for Asdrubal Cabrera Nick Castellanos 2nd Round pick Kemp being the only THING involved on your side of the trade.

This trade process will last until the playoffs which is I believe a 1 week difference. Ah yes once a player is waived and not traded he can no longer be a part of any trade heading further into the process. He is stuck on your team for the remainder of the season Good luck and hope I didn't miss anything. Any questions feel free to pm me I will get answers back to you as quickly as I can. the only thing i see is that peterson may have had to sit on the MLB team the rest of the eason for diamondbacks, but he did not post him until it was agreed, so there is really only miniscule amount in that happening.

This is a legal trade IMO. Any payer can be involved in the process, MLB or MiLB.
