I think it would be beneficial to have the waiver trading section updated with clearer language, as there is obviously confusion on the process. I know I have no idea who I can and cannot trade and matt kemp trade in the example is confusing. How come matt kemp has to be traded alone, but Pujols and Cabrera who presumably had to be waived as well are included together. I just think it would help a lot of people if that section/rule were made clearer

I agree, and I'll add that I don't understand what the point of it is. It's not at all analogous to what they do in the real MLB, so why have it at all? Why not just extend the normal trading deadline?

Both pujils and Cabrera didn't not need to be waived.if said team was only team waiving Kemp the other team could trade there whole team fir Kemp and still have two waiver trades left

That doesn't make any sense to me. So you can trade anyone without waiving them as long as the other team waives someone? This process could use an overhaul

Isn't that how the mlb does it co hamels was waived and the cubs had a chance to trade for him offering anyone they wanted

No, in mlb anyone who's on the 40 man needs to clear waivers before being traded. Prospects can be traded freely. So the real life cubs could have kris Bryant, Addison Russell and Albert Almora for Hamels without waivers. But they could not trade Baez, Soler or Alcantara since they are on the 40 man and wouldn't clear waivers

Alright guys, I am going to be perfectly honest here. This is about as black and white as you can get here. This process has been so dumbed down that their should be no reason why it can't be followed. I have simply had enough of the whining and bitching and challenging of every single rule that has clearly worked for 4 years now. VERY simple. You post a player to waive. He can be traded to any owner for as many players you can get for him. The team you are trading him to does not need to waive every single player in the deal.
And Mike once again, you want to run a league your way, feel free. You seem to have the answer to everything and think everything in place is either not right or needing an overhaul. We CAN NOT mirror the MLB exactly, for many reasons. We do what we can with what we have working around both proboards and ESPN limitations. Also having a glimpse of what it takes to run a league like this should have shown you the mass amount of time needed to run it. SO every time you come up with an idea you add so much more work to the work already needed to be done. Be my guest to do it, guaranteed your interest level dwindles rapidly. I have a real life and a family that takes precedence over what seems to be a useless cause at this time....THIS LEAGUE.
I get on and do what I can when I can. I have implemented all the help certain individuals were so loudly bitching I needed the last few years. Has anything improved...not really. Every time I get on there is another bitch or complaint about things and how they are done. Have had seriously just about enough. I have no issue with making league posts about needed changes, but some feel a change is needed every time another process takes effect.
Right now I have to go over all the trades and get those cleaned up. There are several small things that were not taken care of during the processing of them. But I applaud the individuals for trying to help out. Either way there is one solid fact about this league.
It is a good league. 4 years running with very little turn over with owners. You're not going to find that many other places. Have I been out more this year then in the past....yes. The work still gets done and things are still ongoing. So chill out and enjoy the league and the processes that they employ. We will work the processes over if and when they need to be. Adding of work is not something I feel helps the league. In most cases I have learned that adding work benefits few and those are the super active people. This league is built to accommodate all owners. The daily owners as well as the guys who can only get on once or twice a week. It will remain that way. Or else I will simply shut it down.
Thanks Tony
