1) The draft will begin on a date and time TBD shortly after the real life MLB amateur draft. Draft pick trading and draft orders will lock at TBD. This will give the trade committee ample time to allow/veto any trade involving draft picks. If a trade is vetoed, however, it will not be able to be reworked with draft picks included.
2) Once the draft begins, the first owner will have a 24 hour window to make his selection. As soon as a selection is made, the 24 hour window begins for the next owner in the draft order.
3) If an owner neglects to make a pick in the 24 hour period, he is immediately skipped and the next owner down the list may make his selection, starting the next 24 hour period.
4) If skipped, an owner has the right to make his skipped selection at ANY time. This pick will not affect the 24 hour window for the actual owner on the clock.
5) If an owner knows he will not be available for his pick, he should send a PM to one of the admins with a ranked list of desired selections to ensure a pick can be made without skipping the absent owner.
6) All prospects drafted will be placed under the minors list on our ProBoards rosters. You may go over the 40 man minor league roster limit during the draft. However, you must bring your roster back into compliance within 48 hours of the conclusion of the draft.
7) All drafted prospects will be available to trade AFTER our draft is 100% complete.
8) All prospects drafted by an MLB club, and not by an owner of this league, become the property of each respective MLB team in this league as a protected prospect ready to be brought up to the 40 man minors roster whenever desired.
9) All drafted prospects who go unsigned this year will result in a compensation pick to the team who drafted him in next year's draft.
