1. The following may be traded: major league and minor league players, 1st and 2nd round draft picks, and salary cap money. If salary cap money is traded, it belongs to the new owner in perpetuity.
Compensatory draft picks, i.e. those awarded to teams who lose a free agent who receives the qualifying offer in real life, are NOT tradeable.
2. Trade posts will be posted in this fashion:
Team X receives:
Prince Fielder (1B) 1 mil
Team Y receives:
Albert Pujols (1B) 1 mil
If a trade is posted in any other fashion it simply will not be processed until correctly posted.
3. All trades will be reviewed by a Trade Committee ("TC"). Each individual member of the TC will reply to the post announcing the trade by stating whether he votes to "Approve" or "Veto" the trade. Majority rules. If a TC member is involved in the trade, that TC member does not vote on the trade. If the trade involves one or more TC members, the number of votes that constitutes a majority of the TC will therefore be based on the number of TC members eligible to vote.
4. The Trade Committee will have an odd number of members, so as to reduce the likelihood of tie votes. There will be one owner designated as the TC Alternate. The TC Alternate will vote if there is one TC member involved in a trade under consideration or when a regular TC member is unavailable.
5. The TC consists of:
TC Alternate: Joshua Shapiro (Cubs)
6. Trades will be under review by the TC for a maximum of 72 hours from when the trade has been accepted by both teams. If the TC has not reached a majority decision by the 72 hour time limit, whichever result (approve or veto) is leading the voting will be deemed the decision of the TC.
7. If the TC vote ties, the trade will be deemed approved.
8. If at any time you complete a trade that takes your roster over the 25 man limit, you will have a 24 hour period from the time the trade is approved to get your roster back to 25 active players (i.e. not counting anyone on the DL). If this is not done on time, you will lose your trading rights for 1 week for each offense. The penalty will be enforced from the minute you go over the 24 hour mark.
